Linux services, sized to the problem.
From a short-term second opinion to a fully managed environment, we offer consulting, system design, and support built around the Linux and open source technologies your business actually runs on.
Linux Consulting
We help answer the question at the start of every engagement: should this be running on Linux, and if so, which technologies fit your business and your existing IT setup best? We advise on open source software generally, not just Linux, and we're equally comfortable in Microsoft environments, Linux environments, or a mix of both — including experience with proprietary Unix platforms such as HP-UX and Tru64 Unix.
Our advice is aimed at getting the most out of your IT investment. We won't recommend Linux where it's clearly the wrong fit, and we understand why companies with a significant investment in Microsoft technology want to protect it. Where open source technology can meaningfully cut your costs, though, we're happy to come onsite and show you how.
We take on short-term engagements to review and advise on open source strategy, as well as longer-term work deploying these technologies with minimal disruption to your day-to-day business — including guidance on the hardware to run it all on. Note that we don't typically provide support for Windows systems.
Linux System Design
Once you've decided to invest in Linux, we help design a system — large or small — that fits your existing infrastructure and addresses what your business actually needs. Open source gives you a huge range of technologies to choose from; our job is to help you pick the combination that fits best. We've designed everything from small office environments to large high-performance compute clusters, so the scale of the problem isn't a limitation.
Linux Support and Managed Services
We offer a range of 12-month support contracts to suit different businesses. Get in touch to talk through your technical support needs — after reviewing your infrastructure, we'll recommend a package that matches both your requirements and your budget. Support has taken many forms in the past, including onsite priority support and remote support over secure shell, Cisco VPN, OpenVPN, or Microsoft VPN.
Our customers range from companies with their own dedicated IT staff, whom we work alongside on Linux problems, to smaller businesses that can't justify hiring dedicated Linux support. Either way, our support is tailored to who's using it — our team is trained to work directly with end users as well as IT specialists.
